💡Introduction (API)

Advocacy and Policy Institute (API) is a leading Cambodian non governmental organization working to strengthen advocacy, policy engagement, citizen participation, good governance, and inclusive development. API invites motivated students and recent graduates to apply for its Internship Program to gain hands on experience in a professional NGO environment.

📋 Job Summary

  • 📍 Location: Phnom Penh (with occasional travel to provinces)
  • ⏳ Duration: Up to six months (with possibility of extension depending on performance and organizational needs)
  • 🕘 Working Arrangement: Part time or Full time (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–12:00 PM and 1:00 PM–5:00 PM)

📋Available Internship Positions (05)

  1. Program Intern (01 position)
    • Support program implementation, documentation, and coordination of project activities
    • Assist with data collection, reporting, and basic budget tracking
    • Gain exposure to community engagement, capacity building, and NGO project operations
  2. Finance Intern (01 position)
    • Support daily accounting and financial administration tasks
    • Assist in organizing financial documents, data entry, and filing systems
    • Learn NGO finance operations, donor compliance, tax, and NSSF processes
  3. ICT Intern (01 position)
    • Support day to day IT operations and provide basic technical assistance to staff
    • Assist with computer setup, troubleshooting, Microsoft 365 tools, and IT documentation
    • Gain hands on experience in office IT systems and digital security practices
  4. Communications Intern (01 position)
    • Support content creation for social media, publications, and visibility materials
    • Assist in photography, video, translation, and storytelling from program activities
    • Work closely with the Resource Mobilization and Partnership team
  5. Business Support & Marketing Intern (01 position)
    • Support business unit operations, marketing activities, and client communications
    • Assist in organizing training events, maintaining databases, and performing administrative tasks
    • Gain exposure to NGO consultancy and capacity development services

📋What You Will Gain

📋Eligibility Requirements (General)

  • Students (from the second year) or recent graduates in relevant fields
  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365)
  • Good communication skills in Khmer; basic English required (depending on position)
  • Strong willingness to learn, teamwork spirit, and professional attitude
