Joint Statement “The Access to Information Law Ensuring Access to Environmental Information and Public Financial Management in the Digital Age”
On the occasion of the International Day for Universal Access to Information 2025, under the theme “Ensuring Access to Environmental Information and Public Financial Management in the Digital Age”, members of the Access to Information Working Group (A2IWG) and partner organizations have released a Joint Statement calling for continued efforts to promote transparency, accountability, and citizen participation in Cambodia.
The statement highlights the importance of adopting the Access to Information Law in line with international standards and ensuring that all citizens, especially women, youth, indigenous peoples, and vulnerable groups, can access information that affects their daily lives and development.
