This morning, Oxfam, together with six consortium partners, comprising the Advocacy and Policy Institute (API), Cambodian Journalists Alliance Association (CamboJA), Development and Partnership in Action (DPA), NGO Forum on Cambodia (NGOF), SILAKA, and Youth Resource Development Program (YRDP), and in cooperation with the National Committee for Sub-National Democratic Development Secretariat (NCDDS) and the National School of Local Administration (NASLA) of the Ministry of Interior, officially launched the Citizen-Led Inclusive Planning and Services (CLIPS) project.
Funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), the 27-month project will be implemented in 14 districts and 60 communes in Phnom Penh, Kampong Thom, Kampong Chhnang, Pursat, Mondulkiri, and Ratanakiri provinces.
The project is expected to benefit approximately 400,000 people by enhancing citizens’ knowledge of local budgeting and encouraging their participation in research, monitoring, and public discussions. It will also strengthen the capacity of 470 local administration officials.
The training and capacity-building activities will include knowledge and skills related to digital tools, community initiatives, budget planning, and policy dialogue activities.
