💡Introduction (API)

The Advocacy and Policy Institute (API) is a Cambodian non-profit, non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing democratic governance, civic engagement, and inclusive development. Since its inception, API has worked to strengthen the capacities of citizens, civil society organizations, and government institutions to engage in policy dialogue, influence public decision-making, and uphold democratic values. Guided by the principles of transparency, accountability, human rights, and sustainable development, API envisions a Cambodia in which all citizens—particularly youth, women, and marginalized groups—actively participate in shaping the policies and decisions that affect their lives. Under its Strategic Goal for 2024–2028.

📋 Project Summary Background

This initiative contributes to the broader goal of Building One ASEAN Solidarity and Sustainability (A-SASSY) by transforming youth perceptions of global environmental challenges, enhancing their competencies, and empowering them to act as advocates and change-makers. Youth will be supported in building partnerships with environmental stakeholders at national, regional, and international levels, enabling them to amplify their voices and contribute to SDG implementation, the EU-ASEAN Green Initiative, and EU-ASEAN development cooperation for a green and sustainable socio-economic recovery. The project will be implemented across 100 high schools and universities in Phnom Penh, Kampong Cham, Tbong Khmom, and Battambang.

• Project objectives:

The overall objective of the service contract is to equip young people with knowledge of the environment and climate change, to develop their capacity to better manage climate risks, and to enhance youth-led initiatives in climate action and advocacy.

📋 Eligible Applicant

Applicants (individuals or organizations) must demonstrate:

• Proven experience in translation of educational materials, including video scripts, modules, and presentations
• Demonstrated expertise in sign language interpretation
• Familiarity with environmental education, youth engagement, and inclusive learning approaches
