Project brief

The ROKSI with API project is a collaborative effort to strengthen economic resilience and social protection among informal workers and micro-entrepreneurs in Cambodia. Building on Mission Alliance’s digital coaching pilot, the program delivers scalable, rights-based support to the informal economy, aligned with the Green Economic Resilience framework. Over four years, the program aims to engage 1,500+ informal workers and micro-entrepreneurs, integrating digital tools, peer learning, outreach, and policy engagement to empower informal workers and influence systemic reforms.

API is currently seeking a motivated Cambodian candidate for the position of Business Coach Consultant (Short-term Consultancy Agreement) to support the implementation of the ROKSI with API project by providing business coaching and mentoring support to informal business owners and workers to strengthen their business management skills, digital literacy, and access to social protection services.

 

Background

The Accelerating Sustainability in Cambodia’s Agri-Food System (ASCA) project (2025-2027) promotes sustainable agricultural transformation by strengthening the adoption of Green Agricultural Technologies (GAT) and carbon-based solutions. The project seeks to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve agricultural production efficiency, and strengthen resilience and income generation for rural communities.

Under the broader consultancy on Business Development, Investment Readiness, and Route-to-Market Strengthening, support is being provided to 10 GAT companies operating in areas including irrigation systems, agricultural machinery, renewable energy, fertilizers, and post-harvest technologies. These companies are located across target provinces including Battambang, Kampong Thom, Kampot, Tboung Khmum, Mondulkiri, Kampong Speu, and Siem Reap.

Deliverable 5 focuses on strengthening company sales capacity and enabling participating staff to transfer practical sales skills to general sales agents, general sales trainers, and retailers. API-DC is therefore seeking a qualified consultant/trainer to develop, validate, and deliver a practical ToT program on effective sales presentation.
