The budget working group of national and international civil society organizations provided recommendations to the Royal Government in an online meeting of the Steering Committee for Public Financial Management Reform, which was attended by 400 participant accounts, equivalent to approximately 1,000 people. A total of 20 recommendations under 10 key themes, such as: macroeconomic conditions and people’s livelihoods, education, gender-responsive budgeting and social equity, social protection and public health, financial decentralization and subnational administration, supporting economic development activities, tax efficiency and revenue collection, anti-corruption and strengthening transparency, public debt management and citizen participation, were accepted by the Royal Government for the implementation of the next plan to promote financial reform to be more credible, efficient, equitable and sustainable.
