CtGA: Coaching Session with Kdei Karuna

On September 16, 2021, our Change the Game Academy (CtGA) project team held a coaching session for the Kdei Karuna organisation in Phnom Penh. During the session, we mainly discussed their mobilising support and advocacy plan, which focuses on seeking the support and cooperation of the government in building information centres for the survivors of the Khmer Rouge regime. Our team reviewed the plan and suggested Kdei Karuna to submit a request to the Council of Ministers and to the Ministry of Education in order to ensure high-level support for this idea. Once the required approvals are obtained, we recommended them to contact local authorities in order to identify adequate locations for the construction of the centres. Finally, we advised Kdei Karuna to compile information on construction plans, master plans, and budget proposals, and to attach this information to the requests they intend to submit to donors. Change the Game Academy is an international programme meant to strengthen the ability of non-governmental organisations to mobilise support and resources for the goals and visions. In Cambodia, the training courses of this programme are offered by API and CCC, with the financial support of the Wilde Ganzen Foundation (Netherlands).
