OW4C Project Orientation Sessions in Poipet and Serey Saophoan

Our One Window for Citizens project orientation session for the city of Poipet took place on 17 June 2021, and turned out to be a good opportunity for the almost 20 participants to have a fruitful exchange on the project achievements so far, as well as on the plans for the future. Representatives of the Banteay Meanchey provincial administration and Poipet municipality, sangkat and One Window Service Offices, as well as colleagues from four of our NGO partners (TI, T4CG, FHI360 & RCEDO) attended the session. In his closing remarks, the deputy governor of Banteay Meanchey expressed his interest in our project and advised the Poipet officials to increase their efforts towards disseminating information on the tech tools to the people living in the city.

One week later, two dissemination meetings involving youth groups were conducted in the Sangkat Mkak and Ou Ambel, with more than 50 participants, while, at the end of June, a further online meeting was organised with the representatives of the district offices in Serey Saophoan. The latter activity was attended by the deputy governor, Ms. Kimseang Heang, and focused on presenting the results of the citizen scorecard evaluation. One of the main results of this meeting was the consensus around the idea of the necessity to establish a Social Accountability Working Group at the municipal level, which would monitor the progress of the action plan agreed upon.
